The NORM Rhythm Program · 6 months
Two ways to find your rhythm
Both levels run for 6 months. The free call helps you choose the one that fits your marriage.
Pay in full, or over time with Klarna at checkout.
Therapy with Joe is separate from both levels: 26 sessions over 6 months. With insurance, you pay your copay and any deductible; if you pay yourself, it's $5,200. Insurance never pays the program fee.
Already seeing Joe? Keep your sessions as they are and add the Accelerator. Nothing about your therapy changes.

Twenty-five minutes by video with Joe. Tell him what's going on, and see which level fits, or whether therapy on its own is better.
Money, kids, chores, sex. The topic changes. The argument doesn't.
2
You both keep trying
You talk it out, you promise to do better, you try again. A few days later, you're right back where you started.
3
You're both worn out
Neither of you feels heard. Neither of you wants out of the marriage. You both want out of the cycle.
4
Or you're not fighting, but you're not close
Life has become managing responsibilities instead of enjoying each other.
The real problem
It's not you. It's not them. It's the pattern.
Most couples come in trying to win the argument. We help you see the pattern and change your part in it.
Every couple has a pattern loop: something one of you says or does sets off the other, and the other's reaction sets off the first, round and round. Neither of you chose it. Both of you are stuck in it.
That's why trying harder hasn't worked. A loop changes when you both see it, and each of you changes your part in it.
"Here we go again."The same words set off the same reactions.
⇄
"Why can't we get out of this?"Both of you tired, both of you stuck.
Different topic. Same pattern.
Not just less fighting
More connection
You don't just learn what to stop doing. You learn what to start doing together: finding common interests, saying what you need, showing affection, and enjoying time together again.
The method
The Follette Method: eight steps from stuck to steady
Joe's method for changing a pattern loop. You use it in the moment when the old pattern starts, and across the whole 6 months.

In their own words
Before: "Every question we'd ask one another was just met with this tension… you're so exhausted just from the frustration of trying to talk to each other."

What the 6 months look like
26 weeks to find your pattern and practice a new one
Structure every day, not just one hour a week, so the work doesn't stop when the conversation does.
To startYou both take the Pattern Finder. It maps the pattern loop you're caught in and what drives it.
Every weekThe Pattern Lab, with its workbook lesson. Daily practice in the NORM Rhythm and Romancier apps, one loop a day.
Every monthA Clinical Progress Review: a progress report from Joe. You retake the Pattern Finder and see, in your own answers, what has moved.
IntensiveUp to two check-ins a week, so you're not left on your own when the old pattern shows up. Therapy with Joe is required, and it's billed separately.
Week 26A final review and a plan for keeping your new rhythm.
The program and your therapy sessions are priced separately. ·
How the program works
Find the pattern. Break the loop. Practice a new one.
1
Find it
You each take the Pattern Finder. It names the pattern loop you're caught in, and the beliefs that keep it running.
2
Learn your new response
In the weekly Pattern Lab and your workbook, you learn what's in your control, take responsibility for your part, and practice a different response. In the Intensive, you also work on it in therapy with Joe.
3
Practice it every day
One loop a day in NORM Rhythm and Romancier, plus the weekly Pattern Lab and its workbook. Every loop you complete is one turn of a new pattern loop.
4
See it change
Each month you retake the Pattern Finder and review what has moved, in your own answers. Check-ins in between keep you on track.
The nine skills you'll learn
Name your pattern loop, and what you're working toward
Read your own Pattern Finder results
Trace a hard moment back to the pattern behind it
Spot the pattern as it starts
Interrupt it, before it becomes the same fight
Make a new exchange with your spouse, using your Rhythm Plan
Recover and repair after a hard moment
Track your own progress
Keep it going every day: catch it, change it, cement it, celebrate it, coach it forward
Our learning guarantee. At your reviews you show Joe each of the nine skills, in your own words and your own moments. If any skill isn't there yet at month 6, and you've both been checking in with NORM Rhythm most days, Joe can extend your program free for up to 3 more months. The same guarantee comes with both levels.
What makes it different
Measured, not guessed
Every month you see your progress in numbers, in your own answers: your Pattern Finder retake, side by side with the last one. And by month 6 you show each of the nine skills. If you've both kept up your daily check-ins and need more time, we can keep going free.
The work doesn't stop when the session does
Most therapy is one hour, then a week on your own. Here you practice every day, with check-ins when the old pattern shows up.
Both sides of the pattern
In therapy, you work as a couple and each on your own, so each partner works on their side of the loop.
One method, start to finish
Joe built the tools himself from 40 years with couples, so your sessions, your daily practice and your Clinical Progress Reviews all follow the same plan.
The program and your therapy sessions are priced separately. ·
Who you'll work with
Joe Follette, Jr., LMFT

He built the NORM Rhythm tools himself, because he wanted couples to keep practicing between sessions and to see their own progress, not take his word for it.

Questions to ask
How much is the NORM Rhythm Program?
The NORM Rhythm Program comes in two levels, and both run for 6 months.
Accelerator · $2,495 for 6 months. A structured educational program for couples who need more accountability and structure to make change stick. A monthly Clinical Progress Review (a progress report from Joe), the weekly Pattern Lab with its workbook, and the NORM Rhythm and Romancier apps. Therapy is not required.
Intensive · $3,795 for 6 months. For couples whose conflicts escalate fast and are hard to calm down. Everything in the Accelerator, plus up to two check-ins a week. Therapy with Joe is required, and it's billed separately.
Pay the program fee in full, or choose Klarna at checkout to pay over time.

Therapy with Joe: what it costs, and which insurance do you take?
Sessions
26 sessions over 6 months: a couple session every 3 weeks, and individual sessions for each of you in between. Your first session is your orientation.
With insurance
You pay your copay and any deductible.
Self-pay
$5,200 for the 26 sessions.
In-network with
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, BCBS Federal Employee Program, TRICARE, UnitedHealthcare / UMR, Cigna, Aetna and others. We check your benefits before your first session.
On its own, or with a program
Therapy works on its own. You can add the Accelerator, or do it as part of the Intensive.
What if my spouse won't come?
Start anyway. Book the call yourself. You can begin with individual sessions and the Pattern Finder, because a pattern can change from either side. Your spouse can join later.
Is this online?
Yes. Sessions are by secure video, anywhere in Alabama.
What does insurance cover?
The therapy sessions, if your plan covers them. We check your benefits before you commit. The program fee pays for what insurance doesn't: Clinical Progress Reviews, the Pattern Lab and workbook, the apps and check-ins.
Can we pay monthly?
Yes, for the program fee. Choose Klarna at checkout to spread the cost over time. Klarna sets the payment terms when you check out, so there is no payment plan to arrange with us. Therapy is billed separately, through your insurance or as self-pay.
How is this different from regular couples therapy?
It adds structure between sessions: daily practice in the apps, a weekly Pattern Lab with its workbook, monthly Clinical Progress Reviews and check-ins. And you measure your progress by retaking the Pattern Finder, so you can see what's changing.
What happens on the free call?
Twenty-five minutes by video. You tell Joe what's going on, ask your questions, and together you see whether the Intensive, the Accelerator, or therapy on its own is the right fit. No pressure, and no obligation.
What if the program isn't right for us?
Then Joe will say so, and point you to what fits: therapy on its own, the Accelerator, or the NORM Rhythm app.
What if I don't feel safe at home?
Please reach out for help now: call or text 988, or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. If you are in danger, call 911. This program is for couples who are tired, not for anyone who is unsafe.
Don't give up on love.
Let's find the pattern, and practice a new one together.
