What kinds of counseling do you offer?

We see a wide variety of people for individual, pre-marital, marital and family counseling. In addition, we offer Career and Financial Counseling. See Services for more information.


How do I make an appointment with a counselor?

Please visit the page Getting Started. Fill out the appropriate forms and either fax or mail them to us. Be sure to sign your forms. You can call our scheduling service at (256) 850-4426 to schedule an appointment or use our online scheduler to make your first appointment. Please note we are unable to accept walk-in appointments and cannot guarantee same-day appointments.


I've never gone to counseling before. What can I expect?

Counseling involves beginning a new relationship. It may take a few sessions for your counselor to get to know you and your story before moving into actual therapy. Counseling is also interactive and dynamic, and you should feel free to ask questions to help you connect with your counselor as you progress through the counseling experience together.


Where are you located?

We are located at 4801 University Square Suite 13. Take University Drive to The Boardwalk. The Boardwalk is between Old Monrovia and Wynn Drive. LaQuinta and Country Inn and Suites is on the corner of The Boardwalk and University Drive. Newts Restaurant is in the shopping center across the street. We are in the last building on the right on The Boardwalk. Suite 13 is the fourth suite from the corner. If you are coming from Wynn Drive University Square is the street between the post office and HL Cleveland way. If coming from University Drive pass the post office and turn left onto University Square. Take a right at the stop sign and curve on around the bend to the left. Turn left into the first driveway on your left. Suite 13 will be to the right. Click Here to Get Directions from your location


How many sessions do I need?

Because each case is different, your counselor will ascertain your needs and discuss a treatment plan with you.


What if I need to cancel or reschedule my session?

You must notify your counselor 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Failure to do so will result in being charged $50 for the session. Please cancellation policy under "Sessions & Fees".


What if I am running late to my session?

Please contact your counselor directly using the number they give you. Leaving a message on the Reception line will not ensure that your counselor is notified.


Do you have a psychiatrist at LTC?

No we do not have a staff psychiatrist. We have a network of psychiatrists for referrals.


What are your fees?

Our fees are $150 for a 50-minute session, $220 for the initial session and $200 for an extended session up to 80 minutes. You are responsible for your full fee at the time of service.


Do you take any health insurance?

We accept health insurance on a case by case basis. We do provide a letter of receipt for you to file with your insurance company for possible reimbursement.


Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. You can pay online at payment.LifestyleTherapyCoach.com. Payment is due at each session.


We are being married by a pastor at Lifestyle Therapy & Coaching. Where do we sign up for premarital counseling?

Our LTC therapist/Pastor will provide premarital counseling.


What is the Sizzling Hot Marriage assessment?

The Sizzling Hot Marriage Assessment is used regularly by LTC in all types of couples counseling. Couples take the assessment online and generally work through the results with a counselor in 3-4 follow up sessions. Take this free assessment online at www.SizzlingHotMarriage.com.
